This year, we have seen quite an increase in seniors applying for our services. So much so that we have started a new program called “End the Wait”. This is because when seniors in Broward County apply for federally funded meals, they are put on a very long waiting list, and that is only if they qualify for the very stringent requirements.
They call us and let us know that they have been told either don’t qualify, or that it will be months and months before they will begin to receive meals. This Giving Tuesday, YOU can change that reality. Your gift to our Home Delivered Meal Program can help us serve these vulnerable seniors who are desperate for help.
