This Donor-Advised Fund Day, Turn Your Generosity Into Meals, Connection, and Care

If you have a donor-advised fund, October 8th is a great opportunity to put the charitable dollars you have already set aside to work in your community. By recommending a grant to Meals on Wheels South Florida, you can help older adults throughout Broward County receive nutritious meals, personal connection, and caring support.
What Is a Donor-Advised Fund (DAF)?
A donor-advised fund is a charitable giving account held by a sponsoring organization, such as a community foundation or financial institution. Donors may be eligible for a tax deduction when they contribute to the account and can later recommend grants to eligible nonprofit organizations. If you already have a DAF, recommending a grant to Meals on Wheels South Florida is a convenient way to direct funds you have set aside toward needs in your own community.
Your Gift Can Make a Difference Close to Home
A grant from your donor-advised fund can help Meals on Wheels South Florida continue serving local older adults who rely on our programs. Each meal delivery can also provide a friendly visit, an important safety check, and reassurance that someone in the community cares. Your support helps provide both the nourishment and human connection our clients rely on.
